Replace your full-time salary with the profits from your new part-time business.
Lifestyle Business Academy is the MBA alternative for skilled professionals. We give you the structure, accountability and 1:1 mentorship to turn your existing expertise into a profitable, sustainable online business without having to quit your job… yet 😉
I've just resigned from my full time job to go full time building my business launched through LBA 😱💫💐 It feels amazing, surreal, absolutely nuts that I'm in a position to do this.
What you're after probably isn't "a business". It's these three freedoms.
A business designed around the life you actually want to live. It turns your skills and experience into independent income, and optimises for the three freedoms: financial freedom to not have to worry about money, creative freedom to do work that energises you, and time freedom to live life on your own terms.
not to be confused with: a startup, a side hustle, or passive income
Financial freedom
Not having to worry about money. Your income belongs to you, not to a salary review.
Creative freedom
Work that energises you, for clients you chose, in a niche you built on purpose.
Time freedom
Being at your kid's graduation on a Tuesday morning without asking anyone's permission. The business serves the life, never the other way round.
To be clear about the scale of the thing: there are no investors here, no office, no headcount race, and usually no product at the start. It's your expertise, packaged as a premium service and sold to people who genuinely need it. It's small enough to run on 10-15 hours a week alongside your job, and big enough, eventually, to replace your salary and then some. I know, because that's exactly the business I built while working as a doctor.
The timing genuinely helps too. Companies would now rather pay a specialist for outcomes than hire another full-time employee. AI means one focused professional can deliver what used to take a small team. And working remotely with clients you've never met in person went from weird to normal in about three years. If you're worried you're late to this, you're not: most of our students are mid-career, because the whole model runs on expertise you've already built. Your years in the job aren't the thing to escape, they're the raw material.
Hey everyone, I landed a first sale of my career coaching offer on Friday afternoon!!! 🥳 It was someone referred from my former manager and coworker from 8 years ago.
Let me guess who you are, because this page is written for someone specific. You've spent ten or more years getting genuinely good at something: engineering, medicine, marketing, design, finance, operations. You're good at your job. And somewhere along the way you started to suspect that being useful to one employer, forever, was never meant to be the whole plan. If that's you, keep reading, because the thing you're actually shopping for isn't a business at all.
Kelsey made $40,000 in five months, then handed in her notice.

Kelsey built her coaching practice inside the Incubator while employed full-time in the UK. The revenue came first; the resignation letter came after, from choice rather than hope. Two of her clients have since landed dream COO and co-founder roles: the business delivers, not just sells.
I've just resigned from my full time job to go full time building my business launched through LBA 😱💫💐 It feels amazing, surreal, absolutely nuts that I'm in a position to do this.
Two of my clients this week got offered dream COO/co-founder roles in tech companies. … a proofpoint that I can actually help people 😅
Your resignation letter isn't going to write itself.
The "safe" option is one reorg away from not existing
Here's the deal most of us grew up with: get the grades, get the degree, get a good job, and you'll be financially secure. I took that deal all the way to its logical conclusion and became a doctor. And it wasn't a bad deal, for our parents' generation it mostly held. But the terms have changed. A salary is one income stream, decided by someone else, and if you've ever sat in a meeting where a whole team vanished from an org chart, you know exactly how much security a good job buys now. The layoff rounds, the restructures, the AI announcements: none of it cares how good you are at your job.
Meanwhile the thing that actually earns the salary, your expertise, is portable. It can have more than one customer, and it can belong to you rather than to whoever happens to employ you this year. Nobody teaches you this at school, because school was built to supply people to the old deal.
There's an inside version of this problem too, and it's the one that actually hurts: the Sunday-evening feeling of being capable of more than your job description, with no way to prove it that doesn't involve asking someone's permission. And underneath that, a principle worth saying out loud: if you're the one creating the value, you should get to own some of it.
You don't quit anything to start.
I think we've all been taught the risk backwards: the business gets treated as the gamble and the job as the safe bet, when one income stream is a single point of failure. A second stream you own, built in 10-15 hours a week alongside the job you already have, makes the whole picture sturdier. Most of our students never quit at all until the business gives them a reason (and more than enough money) to. And once the income is something you own, staying in your job becomes a choice rather than a requirement.
I kept following up after a bunch of no responses … As a a result got them to sign up! $8k offer broken into 2 payments.
Riccardo was a doctor, like me. He built to $21,500, then quit medicine on his own terms.

"Being a doctor is what I worked for over the last fifteen years to become who I am. So how can I be sure about leaving what I do now?"
Riccardo is a family doctor in Italy. His practice (helping patients lose weight safely with GLP-1 medication) grew inside the Academy to $21,500 while he kept seeing patients. This July he handed in his notice, giving himself a two-year experiment rather than a leap of faith. The post below is the moment he announced it, and 35 students celebrated with him.
I'm happy to announce that I finally found the courage to quit my job. … I think 80-year-old me would want to know how this opportunity played out, because I already know what two extra years of family medicine looks like.
The most expensive part of a business is the years before you start it
Sarah thought about starting a lifestyle business for more than four years before she joined. Natalie sat on her idea for years, telling herself she didn't have enough value to offer; her first client's actual words were "sign me up, your price is very modest." Eren describes his business as something that "was a dream for many years." If you've been circling an idea for a while, you're in remarkably good company, and you already know how the loop goes: the idea survives another year, and the year is gone. And honestly, the expensive part isn't the lost revenue, it's spending another year as the person who's still "thinking about it".
The Incubator is built to end that loop on a schedule. You have a niche within two weeks, real proposals in front of real people within the month, and from there it's a numbers game with a coach beside you.
Another year is going to pass either way.
I had my first win only a week into LBA! … My win was from someone I had already been mentoring for free in my corporate job. She was so excited she wanted to be the first to sign on. $2000 for 6 months of coaching. … just ASK for the business … You never know who will say yes!
I have made not 1, but 3 deals! 🥳 … this traction was enough for me to quit my full time job.
I thought about starting a lifestyle business for more than 4 years before LBA. Since being in LBA for only 6 weeks, I have actually made progress (and money!) and could not be happier with the support.
I'd been sitting on this idea for years, telling myself I didn't have enough value to offer. When I got on a call with a stranger from LinkedIn and pitched my offer, she said "sign me up, your price is very modest." That was it for me.
Hey, I'm Ali.

I know the feeling this page is describing, because I had it too, as a junior doctor in the NHS: years of training behind me, a respectable career ahead of me, and a quiet suspicion that it couldn't be the whole plan.
So I built the alternative without quitting. My lifestyle business grew to a million dollars a year while I was still working full time in the NHS during COVID. I wrote a New York Times bestseller along the way. And my dream now is to build the world's best online business school.
And in case it helps to hear it: I didn't quit medicine on a dream. I quit two years after the business was already making more than medicine did. If you're the cautious type, you're my kind of person.
Your 1:1 coach isn't me, and that's deliberate: they coach students at your exact stage every single day, and I don't. My job is the curriculum, the roundtables, and reading the wins channel like it's my morning paper.
And I'm not the only doctor here. Izzy, my co-founder, is a doctor turned entrepreneur too: between us, this school is run by two people who've made the exact leap we're teaching.
We keep the Academy deliberately small. Every application is read by a human on my team, every student gets a dedicated 1:1 coach, and we turn people away when we don't think we can help. The Graduation Guarantee means a bad fit costs us, not just you.

This conversation with Ali has been YEARS in the making. … he finally agreed to be a guest on the show provided I hit 10K in revenue which I did.
Sherilyn joined as a bookkeeper with a day job. Her first year as a fractional CFO did $100,950.
Before: Sherilyn joined as a bookkeeper with a corporate job and no business of her own.
After: a fractional-CFO practice past $100,950 within the year: niche in the first weeks, first client from her network, $10,000, graduation, then the six-figure run.

My daughter graduated grade 7 :) and because I have a lifestyle business I was able to be there to see her face as she saw her official certificate of graduation 👩🎓 🌟
Got my workshop proposal sent 🙂 And, even though it had multiple links, voice samples, headshots, facilitator bio, and the standard slides, takeaways, pricing … it only took the program lead two hours to respond back… with… an invitation to create more workshops 🙂
The Incubator is step one. Here's the whole road.
Found in the Niche Discovery Session with your coach.
A real person pays you real money.
Or we keep working with you 1:1 until you're past it.
Raise prices, productise, build your Signature System.
On hours you choose, for clients you chose. For many students, this is the whole point.
Leverage: team, systems, scalable offers.
There if you want it. Plenty of students don't, and that's a win too.
Your first $10,000Guaranteed
The Incubator's job, within 6 months, and the only milestone on this page we guarantee. This is where the business stops being an idea, and it's where almost everyone who fails, fails. Past it, everything gets easier.
Your salary, replaced
For most of our students this is the point of the whole thing: matching what the job pays, on hours you choose, for clients you chose. The Accelerator (a separate enrolment we offer to Incubator graduates) is built for this stretch and beyond, towards your first $100k year.
The ceiling: the million-dollar lifestyle business
Seven figures of revenue, six figures of profit, a small team, no office. It's there if you want it; it's the business I built for myself. Plenty of our students don't want it, and a business that pays your salary on your own terms is a complete victory. The road doesn't require the summit.
Managed to get my second sale, at my full intended price (3K)! 🎉 … As an introvert, I also feared I didn't have what it takes. Luckily I pushed through … I really enjoy building my own lifestyle business 🚀
I want to be upfront about the scale of this. A real lifestyle business is a multi-year journey, not a six-month one, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something they can't deliver. Here's the whole road, so you know what you'd be starting. Two things before you look at it. First: you're not signing up for the whole road today. You're signing up for the first stretch, the $10,000 one, and it's the only stretch with a guarantee on it. Second: a business that replaces your salary on your own terms is a complete victory, and plenty of our students stop there, happily. Dollar figures are real students: examples, not typical results.
Matias made $12,080 the boring way: one repeatable win at a time.

Not one viral moment. Matias sold a $1,250 coaching engagement he built mid-outreach when he spotted demand, then his flagship YouTube-strategy offer at full price ($6,000), and then his first client asked to renew. That's how most of the road actually feels: one unglamorous, repeatable win at a time.
I made a sale! … So I put together a simple coaching offer for this type of audience and sold a 3-month engagement today for $1,250!
I sold my flagship offer at full price! $6,000 for a 3-month YouTube strategy engagement.
Small win, but my first YouTube coaching client is planning to renew! … I asked what "valuable" would look like if they decided to renew … They immediately said "more of this".
What the Incubator actually is
"LBA is exactly the program I was looking for and couldn't find in conventional colleges."

Land your first high-paying client
Before you build anything: no website, no course, no audience. A premium, personalised service and real proposals, mostly through your existing network. This is the moment the business stops being an idea in your head: a real person pays you real money.
Hit your first $10,000Guaranteed
1:1 coaching every two weeks, live roundtables, a step-by-step roadmap and AI tools, all pointed at one number. This is the result we back with our $10,000 Graduation Guarantee - more on that below.
If you're wondering "is this just a course?", good instinct
There is a curriculum, and it's good, but nobody joins for information. Information is free everywhere, and if watching videos built businesses you'd have three by now. And if you've bought courses before and not finished them, I'd gently suggest the problem wasn't your discipline: a course asks you to bring your own structure and accountability, which are exactly the two things nobody has spare. They're also exactly the two things we supply:
The Incubator is the first phase (0 → $10,000) of the multi-year Lifestyle Business Academy journey. It's the closest thing I know to an MBA alternative… except that instead of learning how to run someone else's business, you actually build your own. And instead of graduating with six-figure debt, you graduate with a business that has already paid you. One more thing worth saying plainly: if your employer pays you a six-figure salary, you're probably adding seven figures of value to their business. There is a market for what you know.
These are the three specific results we work towards in the Incubator:
